The 2000 W rating sits in the sweet spot for typical 30 to 45-foot cruisers and sportfish boats – enough power to run an A/C, a refrigerator, and assorted small loads simultaneously without bumping the surge limit.

The combined inverter/charger/transfer-switch architecture. Older marine AC power systems used three separate components: a standalone inverter (DC to AC conversion), a standalone battery charger (AC to DC charging when shore power is connected), and a manual or automatic transfer switch (selects between inverter output and shore power input). Three components, three install locations, three sets of wiring. Power Share – the feature that prevents tripped shore-power breakers. Marina shore-power circuits typically allow 30 amps (smaller boats) or 50 amps (bigger boats) of AC current draw. If your charger is drawing 25 amps to bulk-charge a depleted battery bank and you turn on the A/C (drawing 8 amps), the total exceeds the 30-amp shore breaker and trips it. Power Share solves this: the inverter/charger continuously monitors total shore-power current draw and dynamically reduces charge current as AC loads increase, keeping total draw under the breaker setting. You can run all your appliances at full power while the batteries charge in the background – the charger throttles back as needed and catches up when AC loads drop.

50-amp built-in AC transfer relay. When shore power or generator power is detected on the AC input, the internal transfer relay automatically switches the AC output from inverter mode to direct pass-through of the incoming AC. Switchover time is fast enough that sensitive electronics (computers, network gear, electronic devices) don’t notice the transition. When shore/generator goes away, the relay switches back to inverter operation seamlessly. 50-amp rating handles the typical 30-amp and 50-amp shore-power services.
