The Humminbird XPLORE 10 CMSI+ is the 10-inch chartplotter / fishfinder in the XPLORE series with a 1280 x 720 Full-HD Cross Touch display, MEGA Side Imaging+ and MEGA Down Imaging+ at 200 feet of coverage, Dual Spectrum CHIRP traditional sonar, internal precision GPS with Humminbird Basemap, and the bundled LakeMaster and CoastMaster map cards covering 13 U.S. and Canada regions. Full networking with WiFi, Bluetooth, NMEA 2000, and Ethernet. One-Boat Network compatible for integration with compatible trolling motor and downrigger ecosystem.
The Humminbird XPLORE 10 CMSI+ (model 412010-1) is the 10-inch chartplotter / fishfinder combo in the XPLORE series, the Humminbird MFD line that bundles the head unit with extensive cartography for owners who want to fish on day one without buying additional chart cards. 10-inch Full-HD 1280 x 720 Cross Touch display with both touchscreen and keypad control, MEGA Side Imaging+ and MEGA Down Imaging+ at 200 feet of coverage, Dual Spectrum CHIRP traditional sonar, internal precision GPS with Humminbird Basemap, and bundled LakeMaster lake-specific charts plus CoastMaster nearshore and coastal charts for 13 regions across the United States and Canada. WiFi, Bluetooth, NMEA 2000, and Ethernet networking. The right MFD for serious anglers who want the most chart coverage included in one box.
What separates the XPLORE series from SOLIX and HELIX. The XPLORE series is positioned between the mid-tier HELIX line and the flagship SOLIX line. XPLORE includes the bundled LakeMaster and CoastMaster cartography that SOLIX and HELIX don’t include (those displays require chart cards purchased separately). XPLORE has the Cross Touch interface (touchscreen plus keypad) similar to SOLIX. XPLORE has the same MEGA Imaging+ sonar capability as SOLIX and the latest HELIX generations. The XPLORE pricing slot is the right step-up choice for owners who want most-of-SOLIX features plus the chart bundle without paying full SOLIX flagship pricing.
The 10-inch Full-HD 1280 x 720 display is the practical sweet spot for serious bass and bay boats and inshore center consoles. Big enough for genuinely usable split-screen (chart plus sonar plus MEGA Side Imaging plus MEGA Down Imaging in four panels), small enough to fit a typical helm dash without requiring a custom cut. The Full-HD resolution is detail-rich enough that the four-panel split shows real detail in each panel. For owners stepping up from a smaller HELIX 7 or 9, the screen size jump is noticeable.
Cross Touch interface combines touchscreen with keypad control. Touchscreen handles operations that touch is good at: pinch to zoom, drag to pan, tap to select. The keypad and dedicated buttons handle operations that touch is bad at when the screen is wet or your fingers are salty: marking waypoints, page switching, and the menu navigation that you don’t want to be hunting through wet touch targets to find. The combination is more reliable in real marine conditions than a pure touchscreen interface.
MEGA Side Imaging+ (MSI+) is the headline sonar feature. The plus generation delivers 200 feet of side-scan coverage on each side with 20 percent more detail and 60 percent more range than the older MEGA Side Imaging. Find structure on a search pass, mark the waypoint, come back and fish it. For inshore tournament fishing where finding brush piles, isolated humps, road beds, and other fish-holding structure determines tournament results, MEGA SI+ is the primary tool.
MEGA Down Imaging+ (MDI+) is the same MEGA frequency technology pointing straight down. 200 feet of high-detail down imaging shows photo-quality views of what’s directly below the boat. Run MDI+ on a split screen alongside Dual Spectrum CHIRP traditional sonar and you get both the photo-quality structure view and the traditional fish-arch presentation simultaneously.
Dual Spectrum CHIRP traditional sonar is the standard 2D sonar with the Humminbird CHIRP refinement that delivers tight target separation. Two CHIRP frequency bands work together: Wide Mode for maximum coverage of the water column, Narrow Mode for focusing on tight detail in a specific zone. Powered by Humminbird’s proprietary Low-Q CHIRP transducer technology, Dual Spectrum CHIRP marks individual fish in tightly grouped schools that older single-frequency sonars merge into one blob.
Internal precision GPS handles positioning with the accuracy needed for waypoint integrity, autopilot integration, and trolling motor spot-lock. Humminbird Basemap built in gives you base-level chart coverage of more than 10,000 freshwater lakes plus coastal coverage right out of the box.
Bundled cartography is the XPLORE-specific feature. LakeMaster lake-specific charts (the gold standard for serious freshwater fishing with detailed depth contours) and CoastMaster nearshore and coastal charts together cover 13 regions across the U.S. and Canada. Drop the included card in the SD slot and you have lake-specific or coastal-specific chart coverage immediately, no separate chart purchase required. For owners fishing across multiple regions, the bundled coverage typically pays for the chart-bundle premium over the chart-less variants.
WiFi enables wireless networking with compatible Humminbird displays for sharing sonar, charts, and waypoints across multiple displays on the boat. Also handles software updates over your home or boat WiFi network. Bluetooth handles the Humminbird mobile app integration and One-Boat Network compatibility. NMEA 2000 handles engine, autopilot, and instrument data integration. Ethernet handles the high-bandwidth network connections needed for advanced features like MEGA Live live-scanning sonar sharing across multiple displays via the Humminbird Ethernet switch.
One-Boat Network compatibility ties the XPLORE 10 into the broader Humminbird ecosystem of compatible trolling motors and Cannon downriggers, with unified control from the chartplotter. Set Spot-Lock from the XPLORE on a paired compatible trolling motor. Run a Cannon downrigger automatically based on the waypoint at the bottom of the bait drop. Combine data from multiple compatible devices into one workflow. For tournament boats running the full ecosystem, the integration is a major productivity feature.
What this isn’t. It is not the SOLIX flagship line (XPLORE is positioned just below SOLIX with similar core capability but slightly smaller-screen, simpler chassis, less premium display). It is not the HELIX line (the lower-tier line without Cross Touch). It is not a transducer-included SKU. the XPLORE 10 CMSI+ is the head unit with bundled charts, and you’ll need a MEGA-capable transducer separately (or use an existing one if you have a compatible Humminbird transducer).
